Aramid Fiber Paper, (Nomex®)

Active is an authorized distributor and fabricator of all grades of DuPont aramid fiber paper. Nomex® products are available which meet UL 94V-0 requirements. Nomex® is available in paper and pressboard configurations and are UL recognized as a 220°C material for electrical and mechanical uses. Nomex® is supplied in a variety of types and thicknesses, in sheets, rolls, precision slit, or complete fabrications such as punched & formed parts.

Polyester Films (Mylar®)

Active is a major provider of PET polyester films of all types, and supplies master rolls, precision slit products, or complete fabrications including die cutting forming and laminating. General purpose films are also a specialty of Active Industries. We can provide the correct film for your application in a most competitive fashion. Polyester films are used in many applications for their excellent characteristics such as electrical insulation, clarity, strength, stability, ability to protect from moisture or chemicals, flexibility, and its abilty to be formed and fabricated.

Polyimide Film (Kapton®)

Active is an authorized distributor and fabricator of DuPont's polyimide films. Kapton® is available in a variety of grades and thicknesses for use in a variety of electrical and electronic insulation applications. Kapton® film has a UL rating of 94V-0 and can be used in applications with high and low temperature extremes.

Laminates (DMD, NMN, etc.)

Composites of film, fibre, wovens, non-wovens, foils, and other homogeneous materials can be combined together to obtain desired electrical and mechanical properties at competitive prices. Laminates are available in temperature classes ranging from 105°C through 220°C. Typical combinations include 2 & 3 ply laminates of Rag-Polyester, Kraft-Polyester, Dacron-Polyester, Nomex®-Polyester, and Nomex®-Kapton®. Some typical applications for laminates include motor and transformer insulations and other electrical and electronic insulation applications.

Electrical Paper: Vulcanized Fibre, Rag & Kraft Paper

Active is a distributor and fabricator of a wide range of cellulose papers and boards, including vulcanized fibre and cotton and kraft papers and boards. We supply a wide range of grades and colors from .002" thick and up, in sheets, rolls, precision slit, or complete fabrications such as punched and formed parts.
